This article will provide a detailed overview of the Patch 3.5 card pool, character skill features, card draw recommendations, and release date to help pioneers plan their Star and Star Track special ticket usage.
Honkai Impact 3rd: Rails Patch 3.5 Release Date
Following the game's six-weekly major update schedule, "Honkai Impact 3rd: Rails" Patch 3.5 is expected to officially release on August 12, 2025. Prior to this, the official Patch 3.5 preview livestream will begin at 7:30 PM on August 2nd. Not only will gameplay demos of Heather and Cerydra be revealed, but the card pool layout, character reprints, and bonus rewards like a 300-star redemption code will also be revealed.
Patch 3.5 Card Pool Overview
According to current leaks, Patch 3.5 will feature a two-stage card pool:
Upper Card Pool (Phase 1)
Heather (New Five-Star | Physical | Void Fate)
Kafka (Five-Star Reprint | Thunder | Void Fate)
Lower Card Pool (Phase 2)
Cerydra (New Five-Star | Wind | Harmonic Fate)
Silver Wolf (Five-Star Reprint | Quantum | Void Fate)
This arrangement means that Phase 1 will feature a large collection of core characters for sustained damage teams, while Phase 2 will be a prime time for speed and energy cycle support.
New Character Details
Phase 1: Heather (Physical Void)
"Herektra? That name has long since sunk into the abyss of the past... Ah, it's you, Little Gray Fish. Just call me 'Heather.'"
Heather is a five-star physical Void character and a member of the "Golden Born" faction.
Her skill mechanics revolve around stacking and detonating bleeds and damage over time (DOT), providing a stable damage cycle for the team in battle.
Heather's Combat Features:
The core mechanic is stacking bleeds and detonating them all at once, dealing massive amounts of damage.
She has excellent synergy with Kafka (Thunder Void). Kafka's passive detonation mechanic perfectly combines with Heather's DOT damage.
Paired with the 3.3 healing support, Wind Sulfur, you can create the ultimate sustained damage team:
Kafka + Black Swan + Heather + Wind Sulfur
Addressing the pain point of slow start-up in existing DoT teams, Heather's detonation ability significantly boosts early-game damage.
Draw Recommendation:
If you primarily play a sustained damage team and already have Kafka or Black Swan, then Heather is almost a must-draw character. It's recommended to double-draw her in the upper half of the card pool when she and Kafka are released simultaneously, creating the strongest version of your DoT system.
Phase Two: Cerydra (Wind Harmony)
"Crown Burner, Dictator, Empress, Marshal, Caesar... but you can just call me—Cerydra."
Cerydra is one of the "Twelve Golden Ones." With her long, snow-white hair and dark blue attire, she exudes a noble and cool aura.
She is a five-star Wind Harmony character, the second Harmony support in Patch 3.x after Tibo.
Cerydra's Combat Features:
A support character with the trinity of speed, damage, and energy regeneration.
She offers exceptional support against Bai'er (a high-burst main carry):
E1 charges teammates, instantly granting Bai'er 2 Sparks.
Her finishing move increases energy regeneration for the entire team.
A unique "Surprise Attack" mechanic: Duplicate and instantly unleash the next skill, allowing Bai'er to unleash two powerful skills in a row, delivering explosive damage in a short period of time.
Besides Bai'er, she's also suitable for various speed-farming and energy-cycling teams.
Drawing Recommendations:
If you're a Bai'er player, Cerydra's draw value is extremely high, and her E1 constellation offers particularly good value. Even without Bai'er, she can be added as a versatile support in a speed-farming system, forming a dual-support synergy with Xilian.
Patch 3.5 Reprinted Characters
Part 1: Kafka (Thunder Void)
In this patch, Kafka receives a core mechanic buff:
Additional attacks detonate all DoT effects, increasing the maximum burst.
Allies' skills trigger additional detonations, creating a chain of damage.
The death of an electrocuted enemy triggers an additional pursuit attack.
This makes her an absolute core in DoT teams, and her pairing with Heather is nearly irreplaceable.
Bottom Half: Silver Wolf (Quantum Void)
A renowned weakness-busting support, Silver Wolf's recent adjustments significantly speed up her opening game:
She can unleash her finishing move on the first turn, reducing AoE defense with no decay.
Combat skills prioritize the main carry's weaknesses to improve synergy.
This makes her more suitable for the current group-based meta and quick-play builds.
Drawing Recommendations
Highest Priority:
If your team features sustained damage cores (Kafka, Black Swan, and Wind Pansy), then the Heather + Kafka combo in the top half of the card pool is a must-draw.
Support Enhancement Period:
If you're a White Evil player, we strongly recommend targeting Cerydra, especially since her E1 boost is significant.
General Choice:
Silver Wolf remains a top-tier support for AoE defense reduction, suitable for most carries.
Patch Summary
Haysein: A physical void support that enhances the burst and activation speed of the DoT team.
Cerydra: A dual-boost in speed and charge, a perfect partner for White Evil.
Kafka Reprint: Significantly enhanced detonation ability, an absolute core for DoT teams.
Silver Wolf Reprint: A first-round group defense reduction, better suited for fast-paced farming.
With the addition of Haysein and Cerydra, Patch 3.5 promises a significant leap forward in both sustained damage and White Evil's burst.
Players are advised to plan their card draw order based on their own Star Qiong reserves and team gaps to capitalize on the improvements offered by this patch.
